Manufacturing of laser controlled systems with GPS system for land levelling

The GPS system is becoming a more and more esteemed technology thanks to the continuous exploration of its possible uses; one example is the levelling of land (especially in case of large extents, where it would be uncomfortable having to frequently move the transmitter of a laser system because of its limited range).
The GPS system consists of three parts:
The space system, composed by the satellites which transmit the signals
The control system (consisting of monitoring and control stations) which rules the entire system
The users system, which includes different types of receivers
The space system of the satellites (placed at a distance of about 20 km from the surface of the Earth, each satellite of them equipped with 4 atomic clocks which guarantee the absolute precision) covers the whole planet and it works 24 hours under any atmospheric condition.
The satellites transmit radio signals to the receivers, also through radio links - set on the land surface - which act as intermediaries (thus guaranting more precision and counter-balancing the rotation of the Earth).
The receivers are able to continually locate 4 or more satellites, calculate their own distance from each of them and use the received data to check their position (according to latitude, longitude and altitude).

The use of a positioning system can also be useful to drive a vehicle: in the precision levelling of the agricultural sector, technics of computerized navigation help tractors to move within parallel rows (that is, within a narrow portion of land according to parallel rows, without leaving any space or overlaps between consecutive passages).
